Code of Conduct
The Michelle Louise School of Dance ‘MLSOD’ Code of Conduct
In order to ensure the effective running of our dance school, it is important that we adhere to the following Code of Conduct;
1. MLSOD will:
Treat all pupils equally with respect and dignity;
Not discriminate against background, race or religion;
Put the welfare of each child first;
Make classes fun and enjoyable;
Give encouraging and constructive feedback;
Ensure classes take place in a safe and comfortable environment;
Ensure pupils participate in a class appropriate for their level of development;
Take any physical contact with due sensitivity and care with regard to the wishes of the pupil.
2. Students will:
Respect all the teachers/staff and fellow pupils;
Respect decisions made by both teachers and staff;
Treat all equipment with respect;
Inform the teacher (before the warm up begins) if they have an injury or illness;
Wear their uniform/appropriate clothing and footwear for classes;
Arrive in plenty of time to get ready before class starts;
Remove all body jewellery;
Wear hair up and back off the face for all classes. Grooming is an essential part of dance training;
Must keep the teacher informed if they are ill and unable to attend class.
3. Parents must:
Keep the teacher informed if your child is ill or unable to attend class;
Always collect your child promptly at the end of class;
Pay all fees on time as stated on your invoice;
Do not raise any issues or disagreement publicly;
Adhere to our Zero Tolerance Policy;
Direct any concerns to the school’s principal via email: Shelloo2000@yahoo.co.uk;
Give reasonable notice if your child will be leaving MLSOD;
Ensure that MLSOD receive any changes to pupil’s contact/health details in writing;
Give clear information and relevant medical history when registering your child.
